Yes! The CS-1 form (course completion certificate) also know as the e driver education certificate, or e-dec, will be issued by a Connecticut licensed driving school and electronically sent to DMV after successful completion of the 8-hour safe driving training course. You will also receive an emailed copy the same day! That’s amazing same day service you won’t find anywhere else.
3. How soon will I get my certificate?

The 8-hour Safe Driving Course, also known as the 8 Hour Defensive Driving course, also known as the drug and alcohol course, is required for anyone who has never held a driver’s license in Connecticut or any other state. The classes used to be offered in person, but since 2020, we were able to do this class online. It makes things so much easier and to be honest, much more convenient for everyone!

6. What do we Learn in The 8 Hour Drug and Alcohol/ Safe Driving Course?
This 8 Hour Online Safe Driving Online course must include a minimum of the following:
- Nature and the medical, biological and physiological effects of alcohol and drugs, and their impact on the operator of a motor vehicle.
- Dangers associated with the operation of a motor vehicle after the consumption of alcohol or drug abuse
- Problems of alcohol and drug abuse and the penalties for alcohol and drug-related motor vehicle violation
- 2-hour mandatory parent training, if under the age of 18.
